The cultivation of Roses
The flowers most sold by florists all over the world are roses. Roses also have a really big economic importance, not only as a crop for florists but also for use in perfumes not forgetting that are beautifull as a branch or on their own,sometimes to give one rose can mean more than even words or a hole bunch of roses especially red ones.
Roses can grow only in measured climates, some of the species can also be grown in tropical climates, usually when the roots are grafted appropriatly.

You can place every rose in these one of two main groups.
A rose is actually a shrub which flowers from the genus Rosa. To us all roses look alike but there are more than one hundred species of wild roses, some from the northern hemisphere and most of these, from temperate regions.
This species have thorny shrubs, and sometimes also have trailing plants. The height of these roses can reach between 2 to 5 meters tall and sometimes higher, but rarely reaching as high as 20 meters, which is a lot higher than other plants.
Climbing roses
Climbing roses are producing 2 different shoots, the main structural canes and the flowering shoots which are growing from the canes. Pick the strongest canes and tie them loosely to the support with strips of cloth that stretches like panty hose. Space them out evenly and as horizontally as possible.
Maintance: Let the climbers grow unpruned, only removing dead or broken branches for 2-3 years. On plants that are flourishing, prune dead, damaged and overcrowded canes until the base. Tie in new canes to replace them. Prune the flowering shoots to 2-3 buds above the structural canes during the dormant season.
